Working as a Protest Chaplain or offering other forms of spiritual and emotional support?
Here are some of the tips and guidelines we've come up with as Protest Chaplains in our work at Zuccotti Park.

Worried about substance abuse?
If you or someone you meet at OWS needs support around issues of addiction, there are a number of Alcoholics Anonymous meetings that are near Zuccotti Park. Here is a list of AA meetings near OWS.

Having communication difficulties?
Non violent communication is a method of communicating that promotes empathy, integrity and building relationships of trust.  To learn more about non-violent communication, check out  this website.

Encountering trauma?
Working for justice is difficult, and encounters with police or other forms of opposition can be terribly upsetting.  Many people in this movement have experienced trauma in their lives and hearing about this trauma can be disturbing.  If you are worried about your own mental health or that of others, you can check out this information page on post traumatic stress disorder.
